25th April Nepal Earthquake Remembered – SIX YEARS ON

As we gradually emerge from the depths of lockdown the long year of Covid and lockdowns here in the UK, much of the world still struggles and in Asia the new variant in India is of great concern for neighbours Nepal. Let us also not forget that our Gorkha community had already been through horrendous suffering in 2015 following devastating earthquakes starting on 25th April which destroyed vast numbers of homes and schools with thousands of local people loosing their homes. It has taken years for the demolition of damaged properties and rebuilding continues slowly. Our thoughts are with our friends in Gorkha at this time.
