It’s always very special when a volunteer is taken by the local ladies to select fabric for a traditional outfit, the kurta sava. Helens bright and colourful outfit looks stunning and is so comfy in the heat of the nepali summer when she joins the ladies in school and many other events.

In our latest newsletter, news from our last volunteer Madeline. Gorkha Hospital celebrates 50 years. Two of our trustee’s Amir and Geeta, their daughter Ashwini goes to Gorkha to visit family, and was able to witness a Women’s Health Programme in a poor rural village.

Our Annual Quiz Night was great success with over £1000 being raised for Nepal. GDS would like to thank everyone for coming along and supporting us, we hope you all enjoyed the evening with friends and family.
