In our February 2023 edition we pay tribute to Founder and Patron of GDS Joy Leighton who recently passed away at the age of nearly 97, with some of her earlier projects highlighted.  Our most recent volunteer Megan demonstrates Joy’s earlier aims, to support teachers in school to develop skills of integrated learning, actively help rural women to improve understanding of health, and to take part in wider teacher training programmes for rural teachers.
