School celebrations

We were lucky enough to be invited to share in the 50 year celebrations at one of the local schools. It was a three day extravaganza of speeches, dancing, music, prizes and performances and it was a lovely way to start to see and understand more of the culture and the tremendous amount of work which goes into celebrations. 

Dance – a wonderful way to connect

Dance was everywhere and at any opportunity we were asked to join in the dancing. It felt like another way to communicate and build connections with people whether it be with our family and the friends we made or at school or college, dance and singing is an important part of life.
