Sponsored children presented with solar lamps

Each year we continue to sponsor 30 children at Mahendra Jyoti. These are selected by staff as bright students but from very poor background. This year the Headmaster Laxman confirmed that 23 out of the 30 children had lost their home in the earthquake. Devastating. A ceremony was held to present the children with new uniforms, books and shoes as well as newly available solar lamps which will allow them to study in the evening in their make shift homes.
