Teacher Training Programme is back – and it was a real success

Nearly 3 years after GDS funded a programme supporting the Training of Teacher Trainers, a two day event was held in Gorkha for local teachers. Laxman and a number of trainers offered support to local teachers where there was lots of discussion and participation aimed at building the confidence of teachers to develop their skills.

NELTA ( Nepali English Teachers Association) provided the trainers as a practice for their first training session since Covid limitations.

Though the focus was on teaching of English, it was clear that the skills can be integrated into any subject area to help include and inspire teachers and children.
