Volunteers, Wreaths and School Jumpers
Lots of news and updates for the Charirty. Two volunteers are booked and ready to travel to Gorkha in January and February. Olivia Power has been fundraising for her trip and is preparing a raffle for Christmas at the Wheatsheaf, Writtle, Chelmsford to be held 21st December. Zoe Dallow from Bromyard near Hereford is also preparing for her trip and currently working long hours to be able to fund her 6 week volunteering opportunity in Gorkha.
Also in Chelmsford, Trustee Lin, with the help of Jan, has again been making Christmas wreaths for fundraising to add to the £1,100 from the last two years.
In Gorkha, examples of why all the fundraising activity is worthwhile. Following Linda’s trip to Gorkha in November, we have just had news that the current 30 sponsored children and 8 orphan boys have all received their school jumpers which are much needed for the cooler winter days. Without the fundraising support this would not be possible.
