Application for School Sponsorship

Following the very successful meeting of School Head Teachers, the 13 schools involved in the programme made the difficult decision to offer names of children who were both academically sound and economically deprived but despite this remained enthusiastic and dedicated to their studies, and without support may well be unable to attend school. 125 children were recommended to GDHEDS team and they then forwarded the list and a detailed application to GDS for funding of uniforms, books and equipment for school. 

The costs remain at just £30 per student up to age 16, £60 for those 16-18, and £120 per student at college.

Total request for approx £4000. This is our biggest annual project, but education has always been seen by all involved as integral to meet the future needs of the community and so was agreed for funding.
