Unfolding Devastation

As the wider devastation from the floods unfolds then the scale of help needed seems insurmountable. One of our Trustees in the UK, Amir, lived for 3 years in the area affected. He confirmed that whole villages have been washed away or buried in mud, about 50 kilometers of roads have disappeared and 40 bridges collapsed.  Areas are totally cut off with helicopters the only means of access. GDS is working with local people to consider how help may be offered.
