Volunteers Zoe and Olivia living and loving Nepal

February 26, 2015

image2 Our two latest volunteers to go to Gorkha are Zoe Dallow from Bromyard near Hereford and Olivia Power from Writtle near Chelmsford. Both will spend 6 weeks living with local families, teaching, helping deliver hygiene programme in schools and getting to understand the charity projects as well as the way of life.  Comments sent to us by Zoe and Olivia in their first weeks in Gorkha

Zoe said – I love the culture SO much that I think I should have been born Nepali (apart from the poverty, political unrest and caste system, of course!), I’m eating with my hands, have made friends and just simply love living the Nepalese way of life

Olivia commented – I’m thoroughly enjoying life here! The teaching is really rewarding.  Everything’s well in Gorkha, ive been teaching at Laxmans school the past two days!! At 6.15am so ive been up at 5am everyday…! Certainly takes some getting used to but it’s bed every night at 9am so I’m embracing the Nepali way of life. Read more
